Ali Forsyth

From 6th- 14th March 2018, Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club in New South Wales will be alive with action as they host the 2018 World Cup Indoor Singles Event.

The National panel have selected the following players for this event:

Men's: Ali Forsyth

Women's: Val Smith

Jo Edwards will also be in attendance having gained automatic qualification into this event as the current World Cup Indoor Singles Champion.

Sharon Sims, Head Coach said “Ali Forsyth performed extremely well last year in the event - just being knocked out at the semi-finals. He is keen to improve on that result”

“Jo Edwards has a remarkable record at this event last year winning a record breaking fifth title and her automatic entry enables us to give Val Smith the opportunity to represent us in the singles again  (Smith won silver at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010) . This event has really been dominated by Jo and Irishman Jeremy Henry over the past few years” and we can look forward to some really good results from our players” says Sims.
