Bowls Canterbury’s clubs and greens will host the country’s first major event of 2022 when the Summerset National Singles and Pairs Tournament gets underway on 2^nd January. Last staged in Canterbury in 2020, the region’s high quality playing surfaces will again provide the perfect stage for the country’s best singles and pairs players to test their skills against each other. The event will again incorporate competitions for players affiliated to the New Zealand Blind Lawn Bowls Association (NZBLBA) and the New Zealand Disabled Lawn Bowls Association (NZDLBA).

Following on from the success of taking the Summerset National Fours Tournament to regional New Zealand (Bay of Plenty in 2020 and, with the addition of the Summerset National Mixed Pairs Tournament, Central Otago in 2021), Bowls Taranaki will welcome teams to their greens for the Summerset National Fours and Summerset National Mixed Pairs Tournaments from 24^th – 27^th February and 28^th February – 3^rd March respectively.

Bowls North Harbour will host the premier centre representative event, the National Intercentre Tournament from 17^th March, and Bowls Wellington will host the National Interclub Sevens Tournament from 7^th – 10^th April.
