Men’s sections:
5 rounds completed, 2 more rounds early Monday morning;
Section 1C;
Newly selected Bowls NZ Development player Taylor Horn Glen Eden) dominates with 5 wins and is closely followed by a trio of players on 3 wins and 1 loss, they are James Cameron-Powell (Hutt), Finbar McGuigan (Plimmerton) and Brady Amer (Johnsonville)
Section 2C:
3 players are fighting for the top two spots, each with 4 wins and 1 loss, Caleb Hope (Gore), Max Nalder (Richmond) and Nathan Arlidge (Gate Pa).
Section 3D:
No doubt the strongest section sees a tight battle and some big names missing out.
Lead by Aiden Takarua (Pt Chevalier) with 4 wins 0 losses, and followed by 3 players on 3 wins 1 loss, Jonty Horwell (Kaikorai), Jack Green (Browns Bay) and Jesse Russell (Cambridge Central).
Two big names unlikely to qualify are this years U’18 winner Seamus Curtin (Stokes Valley) and last years U’21 Champion Stefan McCartain (Gate Pa)
Section 4D:
Bradley Down (Victoria) dominates this section with 4 wins, followed by Anthony Oullet (Gate Pa) 3 wins 2 losses and Richard Hocking (Burnside) 3 wins 1 loss
The men’s section complete their games at 8.00am and 9.55am. The rest of the days play is as follows:
