The annual Trans-Tasman 3 match test series been held at the Broadbeach Bowls club on the Gold Coast saw NZ in the 2nd test to-day put on a masterful display to defeat Australia in convincing fashion after losing the first test on Friday NZ certainly made amends with a virtual flawless performance NZ won the 2nd test with 9 wins & 2 draws with Australia recording only the one win & 2 draws.

The NZ Men's team led by & World singles champion Shannon Mcllroy & fellow 2016 world Champion Ali Forsyth were outstanding to-day & certainly showed why these Kiwis are rated as two of the best player in the world.

Their test win to-day saw them victorious with 5 wins & a draw & Australia recording just the solitary draw over the 6 matches played & the NZ Selectors look forward to a continuation of this form in the 3rd & deciding test on Sunday in this final trial for the NZ team to play in the Commonwealth games next year.

The NZ Women's team with the re-called 22 year old Tayla Bruce of Burnside & her clubmate 28 year old Mandy Boyd certainly got over the first day jitters & confirmed the faith of the selectors Sharon Sims & Peter Belliss & made amends from the 1st test & along with their Australian based teammates, Katelyn Inch & the world ranked Val Smith & Jo Edwards they had also had a convincing win over Australia with 4 wins & a draw & Australia the solitary win & a draw & will go into the 3rd & final test with the confidence that a hard earned test series win over Australia is very much within their grasp.

The Australian side is stacked with international talent the Men's team is spearheaded by the gold medal World Pairs champions Brett Wilkie & Aaron Wilson & the Women's team will be led by the current World Champion singles player Karen Murphy & they will certainly be looking to avenge their poor showing in to-days 2nd test.

Also played in conjunction with the test series is a series between the NZ & Australia Para-sport teams & the NZ & Australia Development teams & Australia have won both of these disciplines by their victories in the 2 tests that have been played.
