Applications are invited for the position of High Performance Lead – Para Bowls
The next two years will bring a number of key International Championships for members of the Para Bowls community. Highlighting these events will be the 2023 World Championships which will be held on the Gold Coast, Australia from August 29 - September 10. This event will have opportunities for vision impaired bowlers and para bowlers alike.
Included on the calendar is the International Blind Bowls Association (IBBA) World Championships, also being played on the Gold Coast, Australia from March 5 – 16, 2023. The World Deaf Bowls Championships will be played in Edinburgh, Scotland from 1 – 14 September, 2023. Finally, the dates and specific venue have not yet been clarified for the 2024 International Bowls for the Disabled Players (IBD) World Championships, but this is expected to be in South Africa.
Bowls New Zealand welcomes applications for the position of High Performance Bowls Lead – Para Bowls to support the preparation of our New Zealand athletes for these events. This position will be part of the current High Performance Panel under the leadership of the Bowls New Zealand Head Coach, Mike Kernaghan.
